The Scott Bros’ Highdown Stud has sold numerous high class performers at past renewals of the National Two Year Old Sale, and have previously offered such Equus Champions as Talktothestars and The Apache at this particular auction, as well as Listed and Gr1 placed Matador Man.

With a large draft of 26 juveniles on offer at this year’s Two Year Old Sale, which takes place on August 17th and 18th, there is every chance another champion will emerge from the Scott Bros’ 2017 National Two Year Old Sale draft.

Resident stallion Mogok is a proven G1 sire, whose offspring include champions The Apache and Wild One. He has seven lots here, including a colt out of a G2 placed daughter of champion sire/broodmare sire Southern Halo (Lot 5), a full-sister to smart, multiple Hong Kong winner Monsieur Mogok (Lot 49), a half or full brother to seven winners who is bred on the same cross as G1 winning champion Wild One (Lot 99), a filly from the same family as top class sires National Assembly, Philanthropist, Sovereign Dancer and What A Pleasure (Lot 330), a colt from the same family as G1 SA Classic winner Glamour Boy (Lot 408), a filly out of nine time stakes winner Heartbreaker (Lot 427), and a colt whose dam is an own sister to Equus Champion Long Dollar (Lot 467).

Mogok’s stable mate, and Breeders’ Cup champion, Miesque’s Approval is a proven sire of stakes winners, with his son Judicial (a former 2YO Sale graduate) having banked more than R1.8 million in prize money. G1 Middle Park Stakes winner Crusade has made a positive start with his first 2yo runners this season and the half-brother to dual Oaks winner Seventh Heaven is the sire of a filly from the same family as G2 November Handicap winner Jungle Sands (Lot 463).
